How can I modify this thesis statement for the Odyssey?

While Odysseus' craftiness is more overt than Penelope's, she is more subtly manipulative than he, as is evidenced in the manner in which she kept her suitors at bay and held Ithaca together in the anbsence of its warrior king. Indeed, Odysseus' adopted maniulative behaviour fir the purposes of survival, whereas Penelope appears instinctually crafty.
